[to the editor. I Sir, — I see by your last issue that Mr C. Hall, M.H.R., will be in Waipawa on Friday and Saturday next and will be pleased to see uuy of his constituents on public business. Don’t you think Mr Hall owos a duty to his constituents to explain why the Abbotsford property has been subdivided by the owner, in spite of the assurance given by tlie Premier and Mr Hall that the Government had acquired it for settlement purposes. Let Mr Hall explain the transaction publicly in one of the halls, not quietly, to a few of his followers. At the same time he might also propound the reasons that induced him to vote for an increase in his salary, of £6O a year, as a member of the House. A good many in this locality fail to see what he has doue to entitle him to such a “ Liberal ” advance in his screw, considering his parliamentary duties occupy hut four or five months of the year.—l am, etc., Elector.
