Annual District Meeting.
The annual district raeotiug of the was held ut Danevirke yesterday, P.G M Bro G Love in the onair. All tho Lodges exoept Porangahau were represented Tbe chief item on tbe Order Paper was a notice of motion from tho Abbotsford Lodge that the superannuation payments bo optional, instead of compulsory, in order to satisfy those Lodges who have complained that the scales of payments are too high. A motion from the Napier Lodge, which on the Order Paper was stated to tie oat of order, was after a long protest from tbo Abbotsford delegates allowed to be pat sis an amendment aad was carried. Tbe uffaot of this is that the scales of superannuation benefits have been repealed aod the same sick benefits remain without any annuity. Bro R. Hislop was eleoted to the P.G.M chair and Bro W. Martin to the D.P.G.M. chair. These officors were installed by P.PGM. Bro Jull
A social was tendored to the delegates in tho evening, at which there was a large attendance.
The next district meeting is to be held in Waipawa.
