Hawke’s Bay Rabbit Board.
At the meeting of the Rabbit Board on Thursday, the following business relating to this district was transacted. MISCELLANEOUS. Copy of the Board’s proposed amendments to the Rabbit Aot to be supplied to the Norse wood Rabbit Association. The following rate for the year ending March, 1898, was then struck according to notice of motion given, viz., On cattle 15 32nd of a Id. On Bheep 3 32nd of a Id per head, payable on the 14th inst. The chairman was authorised to take the necessary steps to enforce payment of rates. It was decided to make application to the Government for the halt cost of the Ruahine expedition end of the rabbiters’ whares erected. The application for an extra man for temporary work, made by Inspector Woof, was granted. inspectors’ reports. From Inspector Aymes : No fresh signs on Mount Erin, Te Mahanga, Limpus’s, Witherow’s, and Todd’s ; Traces on Abbotsford, Tokuwaru, and Kittow’a, killed rabbit on latter; truces on
