Yesterday, on the opening of the Native Land Court, there was some discussion on the point raised* by Mr Grace regarding the hearing of the Ngapairuru case, and it was eventually left over till next Tuesday for further consideration. The declared owners of Rakautatahi have been endeavouring to make some arrangement for allocation of their interests, and to-day stated in Court that they desired more time for that purpose. The Court adjourned till Monday morning. If an allocation of interests be agreed on, it will be subject and without prejudice to the right of any party to apply for a rehearing and only for the purpose of enabling interlocutory orders to issue, to be made linal if no rehearing were afterwards applied for.
