ORMONDVILLE.

(OWN CORRESPONDENT.) . At the Church of the Epiphaoy, Ormondv*lle, on Tuesday, Mr Joseph Sowry, of Woodville, and Miss Mitchell, of Ormondville. wore united in the bonds of matrimony, Rev. Canon Webb officiating. The bride was dressed in rich brown islk, and the bridesmaids were attired in white, trimmed with blue silk. A goodly number of the bride’s and bridegroom’s friends were present at the ceremony. The marriage feast was partaken of at Canon Webb’s house, at which place the bride has beon staying for many years past. The happy pair left by express for Napier where they will stay for a while, and then return to their homo at Woodvillo. The youngest son of Mr Grooin has had to go to the district hospital for a while, owing to an injury done to his arm a fow weeks ago. It seems that about a month ago the little fellow fell over a slack clothes line and hurt his arm ; but it was thought at the time that he had only twisted the limb. On Tuesday Dr Godfray, visiting Ormondville, examined the arm, and found that the small boue of the arm had been broken. This is the second of Mr Groom’s boys that has had an accident of so painful a nature. The Salvation Army, upder the leadership of “ Major” Robinson, are to open here to-night. The Public Hall has been engaged for the purpose, and “ War Cryß ” have been circulated lately by the lasses. La grippe alias influenza is at present raging among the residents of this district, especially in the townships. Adults as well as children have had to take to their beds in consequence. The site for the timber company’s new mill at Smith's siding has beon cleared, and most of the machinery and timber is on the ground. It is expected to commence cutting at tho new mill at the beginning of tho New Year.
