Mr W. J. Tabateau, who some little time siuce started in Napier as a laud, estate, and linaincial agent, &c., inserts a card in this paper. His offices arc in Tennyson Street, Napier, aud as he lias had cousibcrable experience in matters connected with the various branches of the business upon which he has entered, Mr Tabateau should command a wide connection.

Wo understand that the Rev. J. D. Knipe did ub the honor of taking for his text on Sunday last our “ Christinastido” article which he utterly condemned. It is a pity the Rev. gentleman did not invite us to be present, so that we could have replied in due Hcason to his strictures. As it is, we think he can do uothing lens than hand us his notes or a resume of his serniou so that we may still reply. Surely he does not wish to take au unfair advantage, and to have us condemned unheard ? If so, tlion we consider it far from being a righteous proceediug.

It is pleasing to be able to chronicle the fact that Mr G. W. Williamson is in remarkably good spirits after his accident, and is cheerful of the final result.
