(Received December 4, 12.60 p.m.) LONDON, December 2. A serious fire broke out in Kuightrider Street, in the city last night, and completely destroyed all the block of warehouses as well as the interior of St. Mary Magdalene’s Church. The loss caused by the conflagration is estimated at £IOO,OOO. Mr John Morley addressed a Liberal meeting, at Edinburgh last night. He stated that ho was in favor of the principle of self-government being extended to Scotland, but he declared that the establishment of an independent Parliament in that country was impossible. A grand review is to be held at Ablershot, in June next, to celebrate the jubilee year of the Majesty’s reign. The Agcnts-General have conjointly telegraphed to the Imperial Institute scheme, stating that they are completely satisfied with the assurances of the committee and a complete agreement lias been arrived at.
