BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH—COPYRIGHT. [Reuter’s Telegrams.] London, December 3. Intelligence is to hand of a serious revival of fanatical aggression among tho native tribes of Central Asia. A largo force of Turcomans are now threatening Meshed, a city in the north of Persia, containing 70,000 inhabitants, and it is feared that an attack in force will shortly he made. Disturbances have also occurred at Khokan, where a party of British surveyors were attacked by the natives, who were, however, driven off, six of their number being killed. Twenty of the surveyors’ party lost their lives, but none of the British were injured. Jhe If rench, Russian, and American Governments have decided to co-operate in adopting measures for the protection of .subjects of neutral powers in Chinese territory in the event of the outbreak of war witli China occurring. Telegrams to hand from Zanzibar report that the bombardment of the Malagasy coast towns have again been resumed by Admiral Gal liber, and th it tlio French war vessels have shelled several places on the north and south coast of Madagascar. Cape Town, December 4. News is to hand from Basutoland to the effect that the native tribes have agreed to accept Imperial rule, and that the chiefs have tendered their submission to the British authorities. Durban (Natal), Decembor 5. It is reported that C-tewayo is to bo reinstated at Ulundi, witli a British Resident there, koiu<* British troops remaining in Zululand until quiet is assured.
