Intending purchasers of watches, rings, jewellery, &c., are requested to pay a visit to the Empire Hotel, Waipawa, to-day, where a large and assorted stock of goods are on view for sale, at low cash prices. All outstanding debts duo to tho Norsewood Road Board must be paid before 17th inst., otherwise they will he sued for without further notice. The Property Assessment Roll for the North Ruataniwha Road District is now open for inspection at Mr Mathews’ store, Hampden. There will be a sale, under distress warrant, at the Repository, Waipawa, on 10th inst., of a number of horses and cattle, taken in execution in the cause Hemmingsen v. Bahlovv. Notice is given that the Property Assessment Roll for the Waipukurau Highway District is open for inspection at Mr TattershaU’B residence, Waipukurau. A poll will be taken at the schoolhouse, Woodville, on Saturday, 10th inst., to elect five members of the Woodville Licensing Committee. Two chestnut horses have been impounded at Kaikora. and if not redeemed, will he sold on Monday, 19t'u inst., to defray expenses. Messrs. Miller and Potts will sell the well-known entires Sator and Young Dugdale, and a number of hacks and harness horses, at the Empire sale yards to-morrow, at 1.30 p.in. A special meeting of members of tlio Waipawa County Cricket Club will he held at the Tavistock Hotel, Waipukurau, on Friday, 9th inst. A public lecture, in aid of the funds of the Waipukurau Library will be delivered in the Town Hall, Waipukurau, on Saturday, 10th inst., by W. H. Warren, Esq., of Wellington.
