TENDERS for Felling and Clearing the Bush for, and Forming and Metalling, a road to connect the Napier-Wood-villo Railway with the Main coach-road at Matamau (opposite Mrs Crosse’s residence), will bo received by the undersigned up to NOON of WEDNESDAY, the 3rd MAY NEXT. Tenders must be sealed, addressed to the undersigned, and marked outside “ Tenders for Matamau Road,” and must be accompanied by a marked cheque for twenty pounds, drawn in favor of the Receiver-General’s Deposit Account only, and not to bearer or order. A TTENTION is hereby directed to the A regulations recently issued under “The Stamp Fee Act, 1880,” and published in the Now Zealand Gazette, No. 28, of the 23rd March last, which provide for the payment of certain foes by means of stamps. Managers of Companies and others are requested, when transmitting foes to the Registrar of Joint-Stock Companies, to remit the same by moans of stamps, which may be obtained of all Postmasters and Licensed Dealers on application.
