MAGISTRATES’ COURT.
Waipawa, Friday, September 17. (Before R. Harding, Esq., J.P., and A. St. C. Inglis, Esq., J.P.) Frederick Payne, of Hampden, applied to havo George M. Mason, of Hampden, slice planner, bound over to keep the peace. Mr Guy appeared for the complainant. The case for tho plaintiff was that Mr Mason had in various ways intimidated Mr Payne, and made use of abusive and insulting language towards him on the 6th September. The plaintiff and his wife supported this statement on oatli. The defendant pleaded not guilty. After hearing the evidence, tho Bench decided that there was no actual breach of tho peace committed, and the cast) was dismissed.
