London, November 18. The new series of auction sales of colonial wool was opened to-day. The quantity catalogued was 73,000 bales. Tho tone of the sale was very active. Australian merinos showed 10 per cent advance, and crossbreds 15 per cent advance. The sales close on the 9th of December.
Arrived—Loch Kathrine from Melbourne, sailed August 9; Kirkham, from Port Pirie, sailed July 17 ; Clan Campbell, from Timaru, sailed July 29; Koskiusko from Sydney, sailed August 22. Cargo of Abergellie, from Sydney to London, took fire on voyage; 202 tons cargo much damaged. Constantinople, November 18.

At the inquest yesterday on the two bushrangers shot in the late struggle the witnesses identified the bodies—one as that of Nesbitt, an old Pentridge prisoner, and the other as Wrenckie, aged 19, the son of an hotelkeeper in MelbDurne. The prisoners are Bennett, Rogan, Lyon, and Moonlite.
