CONDITIONS : 1. All entries received must be on the conditions that all disputes be decided by the stewards, or whom they may appoint, and their decision shall be final. 2. Three horses to start for each race, or only the half of the public money will be given. 3. No person shall be allowed to enter a horse for any race unless he be a subscriber of £2 2s to the race fund, hack races excepted. 4. All protests to be written and lodged with the Secretary within 15 minutes of the race in dispute, together with a deposit of one pound, which will be forfeited if the protest is found to be of a frivolous nature. 5. Entries, with age and name of horse and color of rider, to be sent in to the Hon. Secretary by 7 p.m. on Thursday, 19th December, iB7B, with subscription, 6. Weights in handicaps to appear in Waipawa Mail of December 28, 1878. 7. Hawke’s Bay Jockey Club rules will be adhered to. 8.
