The Rabbit Nuisance.—Rabbits appear to be very plentiful in the Taratahi district, Wairarapa, at present. A gentleman informs the New Zealander that on Monday last he was at Taratahi and went for a walk accompanied by a couple of dogs, and that he returned to the place from which he started within half an hour. He states that during that half hour his dogs killed no fewer than 31 rabbits. Our informant also states that a friend of his shot 70 of these destructive animals on Saturday last in the same locality.
