Outstanding Progress of Cambridge Library

Two new special sections have arrived this week at the Cambridge Public Library, one being 59 books on New Zealand and the other 54 books dealing with sport. The latter contains many books on boating, racing and also shooting and fishing. From the first of April this year, 14 loan collections, comprising 840 books have been available at the library. In addition the country library service van has made two visits bringing 700 books, and 270 books have been obtained on request from Wellington, pin the nine months, a total of 1810 'books have been received on loan from the Country Library Service. As well as this, the library committee has placed 421 books on. the shelves. The present membership of the library is 913, compared with 743 in April.
