Drama League Activities For 1949
The 1949 festival of the Waikato Area of the League will be held during the last week of July next. The northern limits of the Waikato Area have been defined as districts south of Mercer. A list of properties available at the Little Theatre is to be sent to all affiliated clubs in the .area. The Federation of Women's Institutes will hold their, annual festival on July sth. This organisation is growing in strength and one of their clubs was second in the North Island finals at Hawera last year. To assist clubs who required the services of a tutor the appointment of Mrs Haswell Paine as the Area tutor was again approved. Her work during the 1948 season had been the subject of much favourable comment by those clubs who bad availed themselves of her services. As the area tutor Mrs Paine will not be available as producer.
