SUCCESS AT HAMILTON COMPETITIONS

Cambridge is well represented among the entries at the Hamilton Competitions Society’s festival, which commenced on Friday. Mr Ron. Easter began well winning the Negro Spiritual, and sacred Solo, and was second in the baritone test and baritone solo. Mr Raymond Epps won the men’s restricted class. In the elocution section Michael Swayne was second in the boys’ recitation 14 to 16 years. Marlene Hooker was third in the Irish Jig under 14. At the Rotorua Competitions Society’3 festival, Mrs R. Wildhurst was second in the solo, any voice,.and Miss Joan Black was second in the song for girls 16 to 18 years.
