GOLFERS' GOOD SCORING IN STABLEFORD

Some excellent scoring, particularly by low figure players, featured the Stableford bogey match played on the Cambridge Golf Links on Saturday. The preferred lie, Avhich was introduced for the month of April, was operative for the last time.

The winner of the senior section was M. Sing with 38 points, his medal score being 72-4-68. Runnerup was W. Ryan with 37 points, and the next best were: D. McCatlue 36, R. gess, V. C. Hdllis 34, P. S. Kirk 33, A. H. Clayton 32, H. Perry 31. R. Rush came to light Avith the excellent round of 82-15-67, which won him the junior section with 36 points. Other good scores were: W. McElwaine, D. Calvert, R. Ireland, 34, H. M. P. Baker,,P. L. Thompson, J. W. Paine, J. Rich/ardson, H. Davys 32, •M. Weatherell, P. Richards, W. Kehely 31, J. T. Gilkison 30.

Horahora Club

A flag match Avas played on Saturday by members of the Horahora Golf Club, in conjunction Avith the usual medal round, the winner being Mrs Strawbridge. The best medal scores were.— Ladies: Mrs Strawbridge 82-19-63, Mrs La Trobe sen. 96-27-69, Mrs Meeking 101-29-72; Mrs La Trobe jun. 101-28-73. Men: D. Osborne 84-16-68; P. Neilson 94-25-69; R.
