SATURDAY'S WEDDING TARVER-EASTER A lovely gown of white silk velvet chenille embossed net over taffeta, fashioned with a very full skirt which fell from a low waistline, to, form a graceful train, finished with lace and featuring full sleeves caught at the wrist and edged with lace, was worn by Laurel Merle, younger daughter of Mr and Mrs E. J. Easter, Grey Street, Cambridge, for her marriage to Donald William, son of Mr and Mrs S. Tarver, Rototuna, Hamilton. The bride entered the church on the arm of her father. .The ceremony took place at St. Paul's Methodist Church, which had been most artistically decorated in shades of lemon and white with! asters, marigolds, zinnias, lillies, and an archway of flowers, from which hung a wedding bell. The Rev. C. H. Olds officiated and Mr Stanley Jackson was %he organist. Two dainty flower girls, Lesley Easter and Elaine Hey (nieces of the bride), carried the bride's'long veil of white tulle embossed with velvet chenille flowers, which fell from a halo of orange blossom. The bride carried a shower bouquet of white dahlias, carnations, daisies, gypsophila and maiden-hair fern. Slim-waisted frocks of lemon stiffened marquisette, embossed . with white velvet flowers, fashioned with fitting bodices, off-the-shoulder necklines outlined with deep niching and circular skirts, were worn by the matron-of-honour, Mrs Howard Hooker, and the bridesmaid, Miss Clare Keyte. Their headdresses were halos of the same material as their frocks, finished with tinted flowers, and they carried bouquets of white and lemon dahlias, daisies, gypsophila and maiden-hair fern. The flower girls, wore frocks of lemon marquisette fashioned with full skirts, puff sleeves and heart-shaped necklines, and carried floral horseshoes of lemon-shaded flowers. The bridegroom was attended by 'Mr E. K. Drower (Hamilton) as best man and by Mr J. B. Tarver, of Hamilton (brother of the bridegroom) as groomsman. Mr C. Tarver (brother of bridegroom) and Mr R. E. Easter (brother of the bride) carried out the duties of ushers at the church. A reception was held at St. Paul's Methodist Hall, which had been decorated with pungas and flowers in shades of lemon and white. The bride's mother received her guests frocked in an ensemble of wine crepe, relieved with black accessories and worn with a toning shoulder spray. She was assisted by Mrs Tarver who chose a suit of grey worn with a scarlet shoulder spray. For travelling, the bride chose a powder blue suit, worn with a white picture hat and white accessories.
