Cambridge School Performs Well

WINTER SPORTS A RECORD SEASON \ It is to the credit of all concerned and particularly to the teachers and coaches of the Secondary Department of the Cambridge School over the past season of winter sports the school, has established what surely must be a record. Its pupils and teachers have played a splendid part in healthy athletics as the following records will disclose:—

Football Ist XV.—(l) Gardiner Memorial Shield. Winners of third grade championship under the Cambridge Rugby Union. (2) Teddy Shield. Inter-school competition with Te Awamutu College, Te Kuiti District High School, Otorohanga District High School and Fio Pio District High School, i Third grade competion: Played 15 games, won 12, lost 8. Points for, 198, points against, 63. Secondary school games: Played 8, won 5, drawn 1, logt 2. Points for 88, points against,63.

Basketball A team: (1) Association Shield. As runners up in the Cambridge Basketball Association competitions. (2) Collison Cup. In-ter-school competions with Te Awamutu, Te Kuiti District High School, Otorohanga District High School and Pio Pio District High School. (3) Young Cup. Inter-school taurnament with Hamilton Technical College, Huntly District High School, Te Aroha District High School, Futaruru District High School and Raglan District High School. Associated Competitions: .Played 11, won 9, lost 2. An extra game to play off with Old Girls, for the Sim Cup resulted in a loss by 21 to 18. I Low, captain, was awarded a button as the player who scored the m,ost points in the association matches. Collison Cup. High School were undefeated, winning the final' against Te Awamutu by 22 to 10. Basketball B Team: Inter-school competition with Te Awamutu College, Te Kuiti District High School, Qtorohansra District High School and Pio Pio District High School.
