SEASON GROUP AVERAGES CAMBRIDGE DISTRICT The group averages for the 194647 season of the Auckland Herd Improvement Association are now available and the following are the results of the Cambridge and neighbouring district groups:— Hautapu-Tamahere group of 29 herds and 1802 cows, averaged 5968 lbs of milk, with a 4.68 test and 279.3 lbs of fat in 265 days. The highest herd of 43 cows (under 50) averaged 7160 lbs of milk, with a 5.04 test and 3611bs of fat in 271 days. The highest herd over 50 cows) of 104, averaged 63741bs of milk, with a 5.20 test and 3321bs of fat in 280 days. The highest individual cow averaged 5461bs of fat in 307 days. The Kaipaki group of 33 herds and 2451 cows averaged 56601bs of milk, with a 4.77 test and 269.71bs of fat, in 263 days. The highest herd of .35 cows (under 50) averaged 86631bs of

milk, with a .5.54 test and 4781bs of fat in 307 days. The highest herd of 80 cows /(over 50) averaged 65481bs of milk with a 5.31 test and 3471bs of fat in 270 days. The highest individual cow averaged 6941bs of fat in 311 days.

The Matangi group of 32 herds and 2032 cows averaged 55071bs of milk, with a 4.78 test, and 263.21bs of fat in 262 days. Roto-o-rangi-Horahora group of 39 herds and 2668 cows, averaged 5115 lbs of milk, with a 4.94 test and 252.9 lbs of fat in 250 days. The highest herd (up to 50 cows) 35 cows, averaged 58471bs of milk, with a 5.56 test and 3651bs of fat in 280 days. The highest herd (over 50 cows) 74 cows, averaged 69541bs milk, with a 5.43 test and 3781bs of fat in 279 days. The highest individual cow averaged 603 lbs of fat in 317 days. The Tirau group of 31 herds and 2047 cows, averaged 50821bs of milk, with a 4.91 test and 249.81bs of fat in 246 days. The highest herd (under 50 cows) 40 cows, averaged 64501hs of milk, with a 5.12 test and 3001 b? of fat in 276 days. The highest herd (over 50 cows) 65cows, averaged 6251 lbs of milk, with a 5.45 test and 340 lbs of fat in 251 days. The highest individual cow averaged 5021bs of fat in 254 days.
