OBITUARY

MR WALTER HAWORTH The death occurred on Saturday of Mr Walter Haworth, a well-known Cambridge resident,, aged 74 years. He had not been in good health but his demise came rather suddenly. The late Mr Haworth came from one of the best-known families in the North of England, being the fourth son of the. late Mr and Mrs Robert Haworth, Moorside Farm, Rochdale, Lancashire. He was a cotton warehouseman by trade, and in 1912, with his eldest son came to New Zealand in the S.S. Turakina. The remainder of the family followed him a year later, and they took up residence in Cambridge. Mr ; Haworth w r as associated with many local Activities. He was keenly interested in gun clubs and acclimatisation; both in England and New Zealand, His wife died in 1943, and he is survived by three daughters and seven sons. They are Mrs C. McMillan (Morrinsville), Mrs H. Ridgway (Howick), Mrs B. Bromwich (Cambridge), Messrs R. Haworth (Hamilton) , -s J. R. Haworth (Cambridge), S. It. Haworth (Putarurii), C. R.
