CAMBRIDGE HOPES

Cambridge horses engaged at Avondale tomorrow include Swanee, General Burleigh, Bedivere, Brown Night, Brown Duke and Te Paerata. Of these the most likely is Te Paerata, from the Blackie Stable, which finished close up last week after being badly away. General Burleigh, owned and trained at Bruntwood is another likely improver. He has had two fourths in his last two outings and on each occasion was finishing on. Mr D.' M. Bourke’s Brown Night will be having his first race since reverting to hack class. Bedivere ran below expectations last Saturday, and aL though in some quarters it is considered that the distance of the Grandstand Handicap may be too far for him, it must be remembered that he has finished on in his successes over shorter journeys.
