Mr Wynn Brown on Executive of N.Z. Hunt Association

"jV/TR Wynn Brown, Master of the Waikato Hunt, returned to Cambridge on Saturday morning after attending the annual, meeting of the New Zealand Hunt Association in Wellington. Delegates were present from all hunt clubs in the Dominion and Mr Brown was elected Auckland provincial representative on the executive committee. The other North Island representative is Mr T. C. Lawry, Master of the Hawke's Bay Hunt. • • * • ■jl/TRS W. R. Collins and her daughter, Doris, who left Cambridge about five months ago on a healthrecruiting tour and to visit relatives in Britain, are at present in France. They will visit Belgium before returning to England.' Prior to crossing over to the Continent Mrs Collins and her daughter visited most of the south of England.
JMTR and Mrs T. Joyce have returned to take up residence in Cambridge .after spending a number of years in Tauranga. Mr Joyce was formerly on the outside staff of the Cambridge Borough Council. • * # * TMTR..M. E. Fitzgerald, who has been engineer to the Matamata County Council for 24 years, will retire on July 31. He will be succeeded by Mr Gilbert W, Ensor, the assistant engineer. ... . i: ,;VU • • * * 'T'HE death has occurred at Auckland of Mr Charles Frederick Goldie, 0.8. E., one of New Zealand's most noted artists. As a painter, Mr Goldie specialised in Maori studies, and some of his worts were exhibited all over the world. • • * • R. F.. Cunningham, of Kaipaki, is one of the entrants in the Firth Flying Scholarship, who together with 17 others will be given further tests before the' three successful entrants are chosen.
