CLASSICALLY-BRED STALLION FETE DE NEUILLY AT CAMBRIDGE/ The English-bred staHion, Fete de Neuilly, which was recently imported to New Zealand, has Been leased by Mr Rex. V. Garland an/ will stand the coming season at his /Trecarne Stud, A / Fete de Neuilly seven-year-old >■ horse of classic Weeding, being by the French DeN# and Grand Prix winner Mieuxce from the English Oaks and One, Thousand Guineas winner Exhibitionist. He is a horse of exceptional conformation and character, and although he has been in the Dominion only three months, he has become acclimatised quickly and has furnished well since coming to Trecarne. He will help to carry on the great staying strain already developed in this country by Lang Bian. Already Fete de Neuilly has been booked for a number of fashionable mares, as well as Te Awe Awe and Flying Juliet, dam of the New Zealand Cup winner, Catterick Bridge, which are attached to the Trecarne Stud. Te Awe Awe has been stinted to Foxbridge, and Fyling Juliet to Kinnoull, which has been the stud sire for the past two seasons. Also booked for Fete de Neuilly are Blue Vixen and Gambia; a full sister to Trustful. Mr Garland is to be congratulated on establishing a fine stud farm at the historic Trecarne homestead. He has carried out a number of improvements, the most-important of which is a modern type yard and pens for handling pedigree stock. The concrete blocks have titen manufactured on the property and the timber has been cut from Messrs Garland Bros. Maungatautari bush.
