DALGETY’S OFFERING - AT CAMBRIDGE YARDS Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd. report a good entry of sheep and a full yarding of all classes of cattle at the Cambridge sale on Monday last. The entry of pigs was good, there being a good number of sows and litters offered which sold well at values very firm on recent quotations.* In the fat cattle.. section prime P-A. heifers on account Mr Geo. MORRINSVILLE STOCK SALE The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company Limited reports as follows on the firm’s usual weekly stock sale held at Morrinsville last Friday:— 1 Sheep: A medium number penned, and prices were on a par with recent values. Store hoggets were keenly sought, and realised values equal to late""’quotations. Prime shorn wethers made to 36s 3d, good fat hoggets 34s to 36s 3d, medium' 30s to 335, light 28s to 295, good store hoggets 27s to 295, medium 23s 6d to 255, small 19s to 20s. Cattle: Beef was yarded in average supply, but boners were in smaller numbers. Competition w'as good and late values were maintained. Yearling heifers were yarded in good numbers, and prices were in advance of late rates. Dairies; A full offering of dairy cattle met keen competition, and a full clearance was effected at values firm on last week’s rates. Fat Jersey cows and heifers made £8 10s to £9.95, light £7 to £B, heavy boner cows £5 to £5 19s, medium £4 to £4 10s, light £3 to £3 10s, empty twoyear heifers £4 6s to £6 2s 6d, goodquality yearling Jersey heifers £6 10s to £B, medium £5 to £6, smaller £3 10s to £4 10s. Dairies: Good-quality Jersey heifers £lB to £2O, medium £ls to £l6' 10s, small £lO to £l3, calved heifers £ll 10s to £ls, backward heifers £8 to £9 10s. Pigs: A medium yarding of fats and a light entry of stores and weaners met. very keen competition, and prices remained firm on last week’s quotations.
