Taupo Fishing Regulations
An amendment to the Taupo Trout Fishing Regulations has been gazetted stating that no person shall fish for trout from the Taupo wharf or Taupo boat jetty .or from the control bridge crossing the Waikato River near Taupo township. The amendment also provides that no person shall fish for, take, or kill in any manner whatever or intentionally have in his possession any smelt, kokopu, or the ova of young fry of any or kokopu in any stage whatever.
