Establishing a Cambridge Crecha. The Council does not feel that it should take an active part in the establishing of a suggested creche and decided to reply in this strain .to the Women's Section of the R.S.A. and to suggest that the Plunket Society and kindred bodies should undertake its establishment.

Small Car Removed.—On Saturday night a small Morris 8 car, owned by Mr H. Betts was removed from outside the Town .Hall, but was eventually recovered in the vicinity of St. Peter's Church. Less Insobriety.— The decline in insobriety as revealed by the decreasing number of arrests for drunkenness was referred to by Mr Poison (Opposition. The police, he added, had done a mighty line job of work in this respect, but drinking at country dances had not been stamped, out in some districts.
