HEED TESTING
RETURNS FOR DECEMBER CAMBRIDGE DISTRICT GROUPS During December last the Auckland Herd Improvement Association tested 1433 herds, com arising 78,857 cows. They averaged 7471 b. of milk, -with a 4.73 test and 35.31 b. of fat. The previous year in the .same month the association tested 1408 herds, comprising 77,552 cows, and they averaged 7451 b. of milk, with a 4.80 test and 35.81 b. of fat. In December, 1941, the association tested 2015 herds and 109,898 cows, the average was 7Gllb. of milk with a 4.72 test and 35.91 b. of fat. District group results for December last were:— The Hautapu-Tamahere group -of 17 herds and 1022 cows averaged 7761 b. of milk, with a 4.44 test and 341 b. of fat. The Kaipaki group of 17 herds and 993 cows averaged 7571 b. of milk, with a 4.5 G test and 351 b. of^at. The Matangi group had 24 herjis under test and 1415 cows. They averaged 7101 b. of milk, with a 4.79 test and 341 b. of fat. The Roto-o-rangi—Horahora group pf 20 herds and 1302 cows averaged 7291 b. of milk, with a 4.83 test and 351 b. of fat.
