Somerset Maugham’s “The Moon and Sixpence.” “Unseen Enemy,” starring Leo Carrillo, Andy Devine and Irene Hervey and Tim Holt in “The Avenging Rider,” will be shown on Thursday and Friday. Tense incidents in the lives of those men engaged in the most dangerous of processions. counter-espionage, form the dramatic adventures unfolded in the timely spy drama, “Unseen Enemy.” The film recounts the exploits of a Canadian Intelligence Officer and his efforts to thwart a daring coup planned by Axis undercover agents operating around San Francisco’s harbour district.

Highlights in the plot include the escape of a Nazi marine olticer from a Canadian military camp and an attempted conspiracy to hi-jack an interned enemy freighter in San Francisco bay. The film is packed with action and the romantic interest is supplied by lovely Ann Summers, who plays the feminine lead. Bing Crosby and Fred Astaire in “Holiday Inn” and the Ritz Brothers and Carol Bruce in “Behind the 8Ball” will he shown on Saturday and Monday.
