OBITUARY

MR GEORGE ROUSE FORMER KAIPAKI RESIDENT The death occurred at Tirohia on Thursday of Mr George Rouse, who was well known in the Kaipaki district, where he taught at the Kaipaki School for nine years. He was born at Kawakawa in 1887. The late Mr Rouse went frcnn Kaipaki to Tirohia (near Paeroa), and, after teaching there for eight years, he retired last November. Recently Mr Rouse was elected secretary of th Tirohia National Party. While

in that district he acted as secretary in several organisations, and his dependability and capability made him very popular. \ For 16 years he was a member of the Manchester Unity Lodge, of which he was a past grand master. The late Mr Rouse, who was 54 years of age, is survived by his wife. The funeral took place at Leamington on Saturday, Cambridge members of the Manchester Unity Lodge being present.
