GUARD PERSONNEL
CHANGES ANNOUNCED BATTALION STRENGTH GROWS The following changes in personnel 'of the Cambridge Battalion of the Home Guard are announced in orders by the commanding officer (Major R. S. Alford):— New enrolments taken on the strength include: Guardsmen R. J. Holdaway, H- Forkert, F. W. Featonby, all to G Company; R. Brewer and C. R. Crisp to Headquartes Company (medical section); N. Buchanan, K. L. Hewetson, and R. A. Paton to I) Company; N. P. Betts, H. W. Nelson, E. R. S. Robson, D. R. Bamforth, W. G. Dally, G. L. Hall, W. S. Harbutt, all to A Company; H. R. Carson to Factory Guards.
Guardsman W. H. Hicks is taken on the strength on transfer from the National Military Reserve. Guardsman H. A. Stokes ,B Company, is restored to establishment.
The following are removed from the strengthen joining the armed forces: —Guardsmen W. E. Holliday and D. I. Watt, Headquarters Company; W. Davies, D Company;
Guardsman Dave Heke, of B Company, is removed from the strength on transfer to the Tamehana Battalion, Putaruru Company. Guardsman A. Connolly, A Company, is removed from the strength, having left the district. The following are transferred from Headquarters Company to other companies:—Sergeant W. G- Hulse, Guardsmen N. G. Hartman, F. M. Gardiner, J. A. Wattam, S. J. White, S. C. Fletcher, 0. H. White, K. Hoff, C. E. Johes, R. C. Hannon, and T. A. Wiseman to A Company; G. Gardner to B Company; T. F. Turfcington to C Company. The following are transferred from factory guard to I) Company:— Guardsmen F. E«. Abrams, F. L. Fisher, A. C. C. Balle, T. H. H. Blair, and T. A. Devine.
