NO MARRIAGES
MONTH OF SEPTEMBER FIGURES IN CAMBRIDGE Although there is no direct evidence to show it, the war may have been the reason for there being no marriages in Cambridge last month. The marriages for the quarter were low, being seven, compared with 14 last year.
Details of the vital statistics for Cambridge, with the figures of the same period of 1939 in parentheses, are as follows:
September: Births 14 (15); deaths 2 (1); marriages 0 (5). Quarter: Births 39 (32), deaths 7 (8), marriages 7 (14).
