, WAIKATO ASSOCIATION 1 THE ANNUAL MEETING i Cambridge delegates, were present at the annual meeting of the Waikato Cricket Association held ; last week, when the following officers were elected: Patron, Mr A. E. Manning; president, Mr A. E. Sandford; vice-presi-dents, Messrs W. Everest, S. T. Cooper, J. F. Strang, N. Winger, J. B. Pomeroy, R. Johnston, F. Hawke, H. G. Sergei, A. Taylor, H. H. Howden, A. J. Shepherd, A. E. Gibbons, W. B. Pomeroy, S. E. Senior and L. F. Casey; secretary and treasurer, Mr S. A. R. Badeleyj auditor, Mr R. Johnston; official scorer, Mr G. A. Acres; delegate to New Zealand Cricket Council, Mr G. Mortlock. Management Committee Meets Mr C. G. Hunt presided at a subsequent meeting of the management committee. At the request of the New Zealand Council the committee discussed the playing of Hawke Cup matches this season, and decided there was no reason why the competition should not be continued. Various arguments for and against the introduction of one-day matches for the duration of the war were put forward, and the matter will be settled by the committee bevfojre the season commences.
