CAMP AT CAMBRIDGE

MEN FOR ADVANCE PARTY ARRIVAL ON FRIDAY The advance party for the camp of the Ist Battalion, 16th Waikato Regiment, at the Cambridge racecourse, will commence its activities on Friday and not today, as was-! first intimated.. Arrangements haVe to be made for ; 500 men who; willencamp on October 1. Later the number will be increased to 750. The tents will be erected inside of the course proper, about 130 being required. Lieutenant-Colonel E. M. Mackersey, the Commanding Officer of the unit, Will be Camp commandant, and Captain F. B. McWhannell, M.C., will be adjutant. Most of the officers and non-com-missioned officers of the unit have been attending a three-months' course at Narrow Neck, as a preliminary to the main camp. The Cambridge non-commissioned officers are expected home from Narrow Neck tomorrow. The advance party will consist of four officers and 72 men. Major S. E._ Senior, M.C., will be in charge of the preparations, and the other officers are Lieutenant C. A. Vass, Lieutenant W. S. Dingle and Second Lieutenant. K. E. Louden.
