"THE MAN IN THE IRON MASK" DOUBLE PROGRAMME TOMORROW
Screening finally at the Tudor Theatre tonight will be "The Man in the Iron Mask," which received the plaudits of patrons on Tuesday and again last night. The story is based on Alexandre Dumas' classic and the leading players are Louis Hayward and Joan Bennett. Telling the dramatic story of grim-faced boys who challenge society for a chance in life, "Code of the Streets" will be the first picture on tomorrow night's double programme.
In addition to the rough and ready band of juvenile stars, the Little Tough Guys, the swiftly paced story features Harry Carey, Frankie Thomas, James McCallion, Leon Ames, Juanita Quigley and Dorothy Arnold.
One of the most beautiful animals ever brought to ithe screen, "Konga, the Wild Stallion," is to be seen in the second' attraction. A thoroughbred, Konga's intelligence and training arc* brilliantly employed in a thrilling new drama, with a tender and touching theme, which tells the adventure-jammed story of the stallion's desperate battle against an encroaching civilisation. Konga, king of wild horses, leads a thousand of his fellows in a mad stampede through the hills. This latest Columbia film, "Konga, the Wild Stallion," features a brilliant cast headed by Fred Stone, Rochelle Hudson and Richard Fiske.
