(The Editor will welcome letters on subjects of public interest. The Waikato Independent, however, does not hold itself, responsible for opinions expressed by correspon-r dents). THE SNEAK THIEF (To the Editor). Sir, ■;-:'... Having been the dupe of one of these gentry last Sunday •evening, I wish to air my grievance in. the hope that it will help someone to avoid my experience. As usual on Sunday evening, I left by bicycle in our section at the S.A. Hail t during the evening meetings, find on coming out that, with by own spanners, my lamp and-bracket had been taken and all are missing. I have come across many instances of disregard for: the property of other people, but whoever was responsible for this job, must have been a cool hand. It was quite a few minutes' work to take the above fittings, as the head had to be taken down to get the bracket. Hoping this will help some others to be on their guard against these pilfering, light-fingered, inconsiderate nuisances. Yours, etc., E. G. WOOD. 59, Clare Street. Cambridge.
