You may, for instance, buy a tin of tobacco, and find it precious poor stuff—injurious, too, perhaps. Bad tobacco often is. But the case is altered if you buy a tin of “toast- * ed,” the quality of which is so good that many connoisseurs prefer it to imported. And it’s so pure! That’s what toasting does!—extracts the nicotine, and makes ihe baccy safe to smoke to any extent! But you’ll do well to bear in mind that there are only five brands of the original “toasted”—Navy Gut No. 3 (Bulldog), Cut Plug No. 10 (Bullshead), Cavendish, Riverhead Gold and Desert Gold.
