THE CAMBRIDGE CLUB W. RICE WINS CALDWELL CUP >»■■■■■ The Caldwell Cup final was played on the Cambridge golf links on Saturday, when W. Rice (10) defeated H. N. Freeman (5), 3 and 2. Both finalists have been showing consistent form, and were reduced in handicap, since the competition commenced. Rice is recognised as the Cambridge Club's best putter. In the Consolation Handicap., V. C. Hollis (7) defeated C. G. Thompson (14) , 2 and 1, in the final. Earlier in the week, C. H. White defeated A. Wilkinson, in the final of the Kennedy Memorial Handicap 2 up.

THE CAPTAIN'S TROPHY WIN FOR R. S. ALFORD The 3G-hole Stableford bogey match for the Captain's Trophy, was won by R. S. Alford, with a total of 69 points. Crombie won on the count back. Other good cards were: W. Smeeton 146, T. Appleby, R. Masdonald and A. Feisst 149. HOLE-IN-ONE Playing at the Bardowie links on Saturday, I. Litchwark holed-in-one at the fourth hole, a distance of 145 yards. Appleby, with the excellent net score of ,136 over 36 holes. The runner-up was Miss K. Harvey, with a net score of 148. Next Saturday and Wednesday a match will be played for the President's Trophy.
