_ THE ANNUAL MEETING SATISFACTORY FINANCES * _____ The fact that" had it not been for extraordinary expenditure a cash profit of over £IOO would have resulted for the year, was the statement made by the secretary, Mr Edgar James, at the annual meeting of the Waikato Central Agricultural Association yesterday. Timber had cost £4O, and a donation of £25 was made to the Royal Show. As it was, there had been, a cash profit of £34 3/1, said Mr James. The income of the show was the highest for many years, but expenses had been much greater. Entry fees totalling £295 9/- were the highest on record. The total funds of the association are £3Ol 4/5, made up of £l4B 11/11 in the- bank and £152 12/6 in. the Post Office. Mr A. N. Macky congratulated the executive on the satisfactory results of the show. There had been some doubt concerning the success of this year's fixture, after the glamour of the Royal Show, said Mr Macky. However,' the stewards had rallied round, and the best show for a number of years had resulted. Members generally should be pleased with the results of the year's operations, said the president, Mr H. Crowther, who presided. He expressed his appreciation to" the many willing, workers who came along every year. They showed a spirit of which the district should be proud, the president added. Mr 'Crowther thanked members for the support they had accorded the show and himself during the year. He paid special tribute to the work of the secretary, Mr Edgar James. Before the election of officers, a motion of congratulation to Mr Crowther on the manner in which he had carried out his duties during the two years he had been president, was carried unanimously. Mr Crowther was re-elected president, and other officers were filled as follows: Vice-presidents, Messrs G. Harris, W. C. Wallace, W. A. Fisher, R. Wattamy Wynn Brown anf C, H. Cooper. General Committee: Messrs D. W. Arieli; J. S. Allen, S. Banks, A. Brown, Wynn Brown, J. Burton, G. A. Clark, L. Carey, S. Brunskill, J. 5 Cooper, H. Crowther, C. H. Cooper, 3. T. Entwisle, A. Entwisle, W. A. Fisher, A. M. Fisher, A. W. Gane, G. Harris, D. R. Fraser, J. B. Harvey, H. P. Hewitt, C. E. Jeans, S. D. Low, A. N. Macky, J. Reid, B. Moreland, W. Robinson, A. Thompson, C. Thompson, M. C. Tierney, F. Vosper, W. C Wallace, G. M. Watt, G. Whewell, R. Wattam, H. A. Watkins, H. E. Porritt, H. V. Ward and S. Brunskill." Mr P. G.
