"TICKLING" OF FISH
PROHIBITED BY LAW UNSPORTSMANLIKE METHOD The taking of any fish "by an unsportsmanlike method not involving the use of any device or by any means other than rod and line, together with a landing net or gaff used to land fish taken with a rod and line," is prohibited by an amendment to the Fresh Water Fisheries Regulations, 1936, issued with this week's Gazette. In brief, it is explained, this prohibits the taking of fish by the method known as "tickling."
