ST. JOHN AMBULANCE
PROPOSED NEW DEPOT ARRANGEMENTS WELL AHEAD A meeting of the executive of the St. John Ambulance Association was held in the Farmers’ Building on Tuesday evening, when the Rev. C. W. Chandler presided. The annual general meeting of the association will be held op Thursday, April 29th. The secretary submitted the annual report, and the treasurer his balance sheet. Both were considered highly satisfactory and approved. {
As the committee propose to commence building operations on the new headquarters, it was decided to request the Borough Council to forward their donation of £IOO to the building fund. Mr R. Croke submitted a report on the new proposed building, for which he was thanked. A sub-com-mittee comprising the Rev. Mr Chandler, the secretary and Mr Croke was appointed to intervieyf Messrs Speight, Pearce, Nicoll', Davys, Limited, regarding the commencement of building operations; A deputation comprising Messrs Glanville and Entwistle will wait on the Rugby Union to discuss arrangements for ambulance services during the coming football season.
The committee decided to purchase six additional uniforms for members of the Ambulance Division*
