MOSLEM OR HINDU
NEW CRUSADE IN INDIA. The much-crusaded-against Moslem is now undertaking a crusade of his own : A Moslem mission from Alazher University, Cairo, has sailed from Port Said to India for the purpose of converting to Islam 60,000,000 untouchables, thus adding them to the 70,000,000 Moslems already in India. How far the mission will succeed in touching the untouchables is problematical, but Hindu leaders are arranging meetings to propose a boycott of the mission. They hold that this is the most opportune time for such proselytising. The political arithmetic behind the move is not difficult to understand. Take 60 from 270 and you leave 210; add 60 to 70 and you have 130. Work these sums out in millions of
human beings, and you have 130,000,000 Moslems opposed in faith to 210,000,000 Hindus. The sum total is, the Hindus believe, the world "trouble."
