THIS YEAR'S FESTIVAL

PRELIMINARY ARRANGEMENTS

At a meeting held this week, the Cambridge Competitions Society decided to hold a festival as usual this year, the tentative date beihg from October 4 to 9.

On the suggestion of Mr A. F. B. Broadhurst,. the , society decided to link up with the British Federation of Musical Festivals. As the society will select its own test selections in the vocal and instrumental sections, a selection commute was appointed as follows: Miss A. T. S. Hanlin, Messrs F. R. Wooldridge, A. G. Boyce, G. A. James, W. Maberly, A. F. B. Broadhurst and H. C. Luscombe. The latter to act in an advisory capacity.
