SOLICITOR SUED
NEGLIGENCE ALLEGED £2OO DAMAGES AWARDED Mrs Evelyn Salome Rishworth, of Karapiro, was awarded £2OO damages from a Hamilton solicitor, Erip Clayton-Greene, in an action heard before Mr Justice Fair and a jury of four in the Hamilton Supreme Court yesterday. ; 11 was alleged that defendant had been professionally negligent in the non-payment, of aii insurance urerriium which was surety, for money loaned by Mrs Rishworth. The jury found in favour of plaintiff and awarded damages for the full amount claimed, ,£2OO. Judgment was entered accordingly. His Honour gave an extension of time for 10 days for counsel to apply for a new trial on the groiind that the verdict was against the, weight of evidence. ‘ . r
