HIGH SCHOOL V, WANDERERS

The final series of games in the second round of the Cambridge cricket, competitions were commenced on Saturday, when in the principal fixture, High School played Wanderers at the Square, while City met Colts at the High School ground. High School batted first and made a bad start, four wickets being down for 11. Muller and Boyce then took the score to 58, and the total eventually was 84 all out. Muller 33 and Boyce 28 both played good, steady knocks at a critical stage, while Glanville with 14 rendered useful assistance... -

N. McKinnon trundled with great success for Wanderers and in his bag of six for 24 he secured the hat trick.

Wanderers headed the School by 8 runs on the first innings in knocking up 92. There was some even scoring, the, following batsmen shaping well: N. McKinnon 15, L. The City bowlers had a hard day, most success coming to Litchwark who took' three for 68. City in their innings have foUght back well, and have reached 139 for the loss of six wickets. Hughes played a forceful knock to be unbeaten at stumps with the fine score of 65 to his credit. Litchwark was again in the runs and put together a soundly compiled 50. Scores:

VISIT FROM HAMILTON During the week-end an interesting match was played at the Square when a Cambridge representative team met Mr A. Sanford's Hamilton Eleven. Cambridge were too strong for-the visitors, and scored a very comfortable win by the wide margin of an innings and 13 runs. Hamilton batting first were all dismissed for 66. McMahon 30 not out, was the only batsman to get going, and with Nodder 10, w r as the only double-figure scorer. The wickets were fairly evenly distributed, Crawshaw, Humphries and E. Chard each collecting two. Cambridge, in their first innings,

compiled the useful score of 123. Muller 40 and N. McKinnon 24 batted well for the local team, and put on 40 in a fifth-wicket stand. The most troublesome of the Hamilton attack were A. Lissette, three for 13, and A. Nodder, three for 22.

Hamilton fared even worse in their second visit to the crease, the side totalling 44, of which Davies contributed 11. Crawshaw returned the splendid figures of five for 21, with Broderson taking three for 6. Scores were:
