VALUES AT FRANKTON DEMAND FOR MUTTON There was a good entry of both, wether and ewe mutton at the Frankton saleyards on Tuesday. Competition was keen for prime lots, while unfinished sheep were harder to quit. Hoggets were penned in average numbers, with prices firm and graziers competing freely for good white-face hoggets in the wool. There was again a good yarding of ox beef, comprising mostly wellfinished cattle, the market'showing little variation on late rates. Cow and heifer beef was in full supply, with a good proportion of well finished lots. Competition was good, with prices firm at late rates, while second quality and boner cows were also ,in demand. A good entry of runners and vealers met with keen competition, with values firm. Buyers were offered a medium yarding of fat pigs, baconers declining in value, but porkers and butter milk pigs remaining firm. An extra large yarding of stores sold under good competition, values remaining firm throughout.
