Cambridge-Mamaku Road.—Strong criticism of the condition of the unsealed stretch of main highway between the Mamaku turn-off and Cambridge was made by Bishop K. A. Bennett, Bishop of Aotearoa, who, after leaving Cambridge for Rotorua last Wednesday, travelled over the route. "It is positively dangerous," he said, "and the authorities responsible for the upkeep should be made to move in the direction of making this popular highway safe for ordinary traffic.
