WAR ON RAGWORT

RELEASE OF PARASITE TREATMENT FOR WAIKATO (By Telegraph—Press Association) WELLINGTON, Wednesday. Parasite flies which devour ragwort seed arc to be liberated soon in the Waikato district, the Minster of Agriculture, the Hon. W. Lee Martin, announced to-day. The arrangements are being made by Dr D. Miller, entomologist at the Cawthron Institute, Nelson, and the flies are to be liberated in the Waikato in a locality to be chosen in cooperation with the Department of Agriculture. The Minister made it clear that the whole of the very limited supply , of the insects would be released in the areas so selected, and that no other supplies would be available for other districts at present.
