FINAL ROUND OPENING ; DRAW FOR SATURDAY The Cambridge Cricket Associa- 4 tion’s final round will open on Saturday, and the three series of matches will extend over three * weeks. The draw for Saturday is:. High School v. United Services, at the Square; City v. Leamington, at the High School. : High School will be playing their first match on the . Square since the final game of the first round played in November, but little difficulty should be encountered against United Services, who will not be at full strength. The previous two matches between these two teams have been excellent contests, and another interesting game, with the chances favouring School is expected. When City meet Leamington at the Square they will encounter solid opposition, but City have played excellent cricket, and after .their defeating High School last week, their , prospects of victory are bright, but the fight will be strenuous.

WEEK-END GAME

A Cambridge cricket eleven journeyed to Kaipaki last week-end, and were defeated by the Wanderers team by 11 runs. Wanderers batted first and compiled 94 runs (Fletcher 21, Bones 1% Wright 17). Bowling: Ed. Chard 4 for 16, Kneebone 2 for 12. Cambridge replied with a first innings total of 55 (Glanville 10, W. Munroe 9). Bowling: Fletcher 5 for 17, J. Bones 2 for 5. In the second knock Wanderers declared with six wickets down for 35 (A. Kivell 16). Bowling: Crawshaw 4 for 18. Cambridge batted more soundly in their second innings and scored 63 (Wylde IT, and Hanna 16). Bowling: R. Bones 4 for 26.

DRAW FOR THE COUNTRY On Saturday two games in .the Country Cricket Association’s competition which were not decided in the first round will be played. The draw is:

Bruntwood A v. Bruntwood B, at Bruntwood; Whitehall v. Roto-o-rangi at Roto-o-rangi. Fencourt have drawn a bye.
